Kick the Habit is...
Our student leaders at their finest!!! Working for months in advance with community partner agencies, students organize and facilitate a peer driven educational (and fun) event in which they educate their classmates and school staff about issues that impact members of our community. Students discuss societal needs such as mental health, substance use, water safety, STIs, domestic violence, vaping and tobacco use, homelessness, suicide prevention and more. We are so appreciative of our student leaders, school staff, community partners and Newton County School System for the ongoing success of this courageous and unique event!!
2023 will be our EIGHTH year implementing this program in a Newton County High School.
